Anthony Burton
Anthony Burton's historical works include Remains of a Revolution, recently reissued in the Penguin Classic History series, The Canal Builders, shortly now in its 4th edition and a biography of Richard Trevithick. He presented many TV programmes in the past, including presenting three series on industrial and maritime history for the BBC, but now mainly works behind the cameras: his recent work includes acting as historical adviser to six series for Discovery: Inventing History, two Industrial Revelations, Industrial Revelations – Europe, Massive Engines and On The Rails. He also wrote the accompanying book for the latter series. He recently appeared on screen in the Channel 4 series Men of Iron.
